We offer Moroccan Craft workshops in Marrakech & Beyond. In our Medina cultural house we take our guests in different hands-on experiences and participatory workshops where hands, senses, bodies and brains are invited all in the same time to learn, entertain and create together with the help and supervision of our Master Maalems, Creative Artists and Expert Insiders in Moroccan Heritage, Culture, Craft and Art.

From Tadelakt Moroccan stucco, Zellij traditional tiles to making your own Argan oil, our workshops are diversified and unique. Either for private visitors or with groups we will find a spot for you. Our workshops are ideal for students and school kids, children with their families, couples in a romantic trip, honeymooners, staff and company members in a business trip or attending a team building.

We partnered with the most talented Artisans in both genders with big heart to share their knowledge and skills with our guests. Our Mission at Medina Workshops is to keep our Heritage alive by offering a friendly space to practice, talk and share craft, cultural and food ideas. This is open for our Moroccan Maalem Craftsmen, Expert Artisans, Talented female Cooks and  weavers  to meet local visitors, international travelers, design and architecture students, eco-construction experts as well as researchers and people with special interests.

H3: Welcome to The Kingdom Of Artisans !

Morocco is known as “The Kingdom of Artisans” and therefore we created Medina Workshops to do in Marrakech. From Moroccan Tiles, Tadelakt, Plaster Work, Cooking, and other educational and fun activities await you when visiting Marrakech.

While the artisans of Marrakech master metalwork, blacksmithing, carving art, Zellij Moroccan tile-work, leatherwork, Maroquinerie and many other trades and crafts. The local Berbers at Peppermint Valley excel at making pottery and ceramics, rugs and weaving, extracting essential oils including peppermint and, much more…

Our classes will take you to the world of learning how to make your own Moroccan Tile or Tadelakt, piece of carved wood or plaster, learn how to cook a delicious Moroccan meal, or even more to practice Darija and Berber languages. In one of our cultural houses: Peppermint Escape-The Medina or Nature, we introduce you the Moroccan artisanal art and local gastronomy. Always in a friendly atmosphere!

Our Tadelakt Workshops in Marrakech are ideal for people with interests to Venetian Plaster and Stucco art. We are here to help you free the inner artist, practice your previous plastering and polishing experiences or simply take you in a learning journey to master this amazing Moroccan technic.

At Medina Workshops we provide Tadelakt courses  with talented Moroccan Artisans with many years in hands of experience. Our Tadelakt Masters are willing, with big heart to share their knowledge and skills with our guests. H3: Tadelakt v Venetian Plaster

Tadelakt is a pure Moroccan lime plaster originates in Marrakech. Just like Venetian plaster It is used for aesthetic, water proof and as a mortar together with other natural products in masonry. Its uses are in bathrooms, terraces, facades and to decorate art and pottery pieces. Before used the natural lime found in the outskirts of Marrakech is set in ovens overnight and sieved to get the finest lime before applied as Tadelakt.

These culinary courses are customized and we can adjust it towards your taste or special requirements.

With many years of experience, our chefs are  happy to share their cooking talents with our guests. In a participative entertaining class you will learn to cook one of our selected dishes together with authentic chosen cooked salads like Zaalouk, Taktouca and more…

These classes start with a visit to local fruits & vegetables market to pick from the freshest ingredients just like every local doing every day.

H3: Moroccan Food: A fusion of different cuisine delicacies

The Moroccan Food is known amongst the best in the world. It is a rich fusion of Arab, Berber, Andalusian, African, Jewish and Mediterranean from the French and Spanish presence of first half of the 20th century. From different kind of Couscous, Tagines including the one with prunes & almonds, Passtilla, Harira, Tanjia, Chebakia and Corn de Gazelle pastery, Rfissa, Tfaya and many other delicacies.
