Position: Political Canvasser
Job Type: Temporary; lasting through November 3rd
Compensation: $20/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated, outgoing, and reliable Political Canvassers to engage with voters in support of our campaign. Canvassers are responsible for conducting door-to-door outreach, sharing campaign information, identifying voter concerns, and encouraging civic participation. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, believe in community engagement, and are comfortable walking throughout neighborhoods.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct door-to-door voter outreach in assigned neighborhoods.
• Engage residents in respectful, professional conversations about campaign issues and candidates.
• Educate voters on campaign priorities, upcoming elections, and voting procedures.
• Record voter responses accurately using a mobile app or campaign-provided materials.
• Distribute campaign literature and informational materials.
• Meet daily outreach and voter contact goals.
• Attend campaign trainings and team meetings.
• Represent the campaign with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable speaking with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Ability to walk several miles per shift and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for data collection.
• Previous canvassing, sales, customer service, or community organizing experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Goal-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday 1pm-7:30pm.
