ATELIER is a luxury salon in Wellesley, Massachusetts, built around exceptional craft, genuine hospitality, continued education, and a team culture that makes people want to stay and grow. We are looking for an experienced, motivated stylist who is ready to build a meaningful long-term career—not simply rent a chair or take another job. We are building a team of professionals who care deeply about their work, genuinely enjoy working together, and believe learning never stops. If you are looking for a salon where your growth is supported, your goals are taken seriously, and your talent is developed through mentorship and coaching, we would love to meet you. The Opportunity As a Stylist at ATELIER, you will provide elevated, personalized hair services while building strong, lasting relationships with your guests. You will work within a supportive team environment that values consultation, technical excellence, professionalism, collaboration, and consistently exceptional results. This role is ideal for someone who has completed an apprenticeship and has at least one to three years of experience working independently on the salon floor. You should be confident in foundational cutting, styling, color, and guest-care skills, while remaining excited to continue learning, refining your craft, and growing your business. What You’ll Do Deliver exceptional, customized hair services that reflect each guest’s lifestyle, goals, hair type, maintenance preferences, and budget. Conduct thoughtful, thorough consultations that create trust, set clear expectations, and support beautiful, realistic results. Provide professional color, cutting, styling, treatment, and finishing services within your level of training and expertise. Create an elevated guest experience from consultation through checkout, ensuring every guest feels seen, cared for, and confident. Build and maintain a loyal guest base through consistency, communication, rebooking, referrals, and meaningful relationship-building. Recommend professional retail products and at-home routines that support the guest’s results between appointments. Maintain a clean, organized, polished, and fully stocked station in keeping with ATELIER’s luxury standards. Participate actively in salon education, team meetings, coaching, mentoring, and skill-development opportunities. Collaborate respectfully with fellow stylists, assistants, and guest-services team members to support a seamless salon experience. Follow ATELIER’s service standards, policies, sanitation practices, timing expectations, dress code, and professional conduct guidelines. Use social media and personal marketing, when appropriate, to share your work, build visibility, and support your professional growth. What We’re Looking For Completion of a professional salon apprenticeship program. Current Massachusetts cosmetology license in good standing. At least 1–3 years of independent, on-the-floor salon experience after apprenticeship completion. Confidence in foundational hair cutting, blow-drying, styling, color application, formulation, and guest consultation. A strong eye for detail, beauty, finish work, and consistency. A passion for continued education and a willingness to receive feedback, coaching, and mentorship. A thoughtful, professional, and warm approach to guest relationships. Strong communication skills and the ability to make recommendations clearly and confidently. A reliable, accountable, team-oriented work ethic. A desire to contribute to a positive, respectful, drama-free salon culture. Professional presentation and alignment with a modern, elevated luxury salon environment. Availability for evenings and weekends, based on salon and guest needs. What ATELIER Offers Competitive commission structure Ongoing education and advanced technical mentorship Personalized coaching and career-development support Matching 401(k) program 40% off professional retail products A genuinely supportive, collaborative team A beautiful, thoughtfully designed salon environment Clear opportunities for growth, advancement, and increased earning potential The structure and guidance to build a sustainable, fulfilling career behind the chair What Success Looks Like Success at ATELIER is more than a full schedule.
